Soul Spa Offerings

What is Soul Spa?

Soul Spa is a rejuvenating experience that will leave you feeling empowered!

If you’re constantly drained, overworked, and underappreciated — it’s not your fault. Millions of clever, creative people are stuck in an exhausting rut — scrambling to get everything done, pulled this way and that, an endless list of responsibilities and the needs of seemingly everyone BUT themselves.

Through creative expression, you’ll reconnect with your inner magic and empower yourself to bring more freedom and joy into your life.

When you participate in Soul Spa, you’ll:

RELAX & HAVE FUN

Take a break from an endless to-do list… and return refreshed and energized to slay it!

CONNECT & CELEBRATE

Feel seen and celebrated for the life you’ve been living and the story you’re creating.

PLAY IN A POWERFUL WAY

Get messy and creative with paint- all while releasing any yuckiness inside and replacing it with gorgeous new bits and pieces.

PRACTICE SOME SELF-LOVE

You are WORTH it. You absolutely deserve some self-care. And remember — everyone benefits when you nourish yourself.

Is Soul Spa right for me?

Soul Spa is for people who sense there’s more to life than to-do lists and making everyone else happy.

If you’re ready to start listening to the voice INSIDE, rather than the many voices shouting everything we SHOULD do and SHOULD think — Soul Spa was made for you.

Who teaches Soul Spa?

Soul Spa is created and led by Melissa Richardson, a certified art medicine practitioner. My mission is to empower everyone and anyone to lead truly fulfilling and magical lives.

People always ask me how I’ve lived such an unconventional and joy-filled life. The answer is creativity and courage. I’ve dared to dream, and then to follow those dreams to fruition. Soul Spa is a safe space to do just that.

Are you ready to participate in Soul Spa so you can create a wildly fulfilling life, too?

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any artistic skill?

None, whatsoever! In fact, it’s often easier for those with less artistic background to focus on the process, not the product, and really pour themselves into the experience.

What’s my finished piece supposed to look like?

We don’t know what it’s “supposed” to look like until it’s finished! That’s the beauty of creative expression – it flows into exactly what it’s meant to be, and a painting infused with YOU is more beautiful than any paint-by-number.

What type of people are invited to these events?

People who are kind and accepting of others. People who believe in the rights of women, the LGBTQ+ community, and BIPOC. If this is not you, then this is not the place for you.

Infrequently Asked Questions

Why don’t you go back to school and get a degree in art therapy?

I love learning… but I don’t care much for school. I spent 24 years in school (half of them as a teacher), and I’m good. I’m grateful for the many other ways available to develop my knowledge and skills.

What’s your favorite animal?

Unicorn. Also: phoenix, fox, moth.

What’s your purpose in life?

To enjoy it! This includes the satisfaction of personal growth and pleasure of positively contributing to the lives of others. Also, plenty of adventure, books, ice cream, and play time with my nieces and nephews. Oh, and glitter. Lots of glitter.
